A captive that dwells on his own in a cell
Contemplating how collectively we sabotage ourselves
And science could be harnessed to provide for the masses
But divided by classes, we are bound by our assets
It stems from neglect, that's how it takes effect
A predisposed society that you cannot reject
They thrive at the top, while he's fated into jail
Or maybe that's not true and no one's truly set to fail

We're still here, persevere

I draw a parallel between him and myself, as I slowly disassociate from everybody else
I hurts when you lose the lifestyle that you know
It hurts when you lose the very thing that helped you grow
It hurts, but could be worse
If at some point in time, you lose your mind, it's ok
Perfection's a lie, nothing's benign, you'll find a way
